Weapons Seized from Crimean Network

A photo released by Russian FSB in December showing a homemade submachine gun along with a Nagant M1895 revolver and various ammunition supposedly seized from a Ukrainian linked cell operating in Crimea. The SMG appears very similar to the example pictured below which is held in a Ukrainian forensic lab firearm collection and featured in a hunting magazine a few decades ago. It is a fairly well-made underground weapon chambered in 9×18 Makarov with a rifled barrel and suppressor supplied as standard.

The VP-22 is an almost entirely 3D printed .22lr VP9 (a copy of the WW2 British Welrod) type bolt-action pistol featuring a 12-shot magazine and screw-on suppressor. Below is a video of it being fired.

Mexico’s Growing 3D Ghost Gun Epidemic

“In the fourth installment of a special investigation on arms trafficking, we present ghost weapons, with 3D printers, without a license or folio number … they are easy to assemble and transport, which makes them much more difficult to detect and register.”

3D Arms Traffickers

“A joint operation between Ecuador and the United States made it possible to dismantle an organization that was dedicated to arms trafficking and production

The Police managed to establish that, about four and a half months ago, at the end of 2022, alias ‘ War ‘ imported a 3D printer from the United States , brand and model Tormach 1100M .

His goal was to make exact replicas of the weapons he received from the United States and sell them in Ecuador to drug gangs. To achieve this ‘business’, along with the weapons, Chica-Giler sent the manuals to Ecuador , which included technical characteristics, measurements and other specifications. These data were entered into the printer, which reproduced exact replicas of the reports .

These parts were assembled and put into operation by alias ‘Arquímides’, another member of the organization. He is a passive-duty military man and has experience and knowledge in gunsmithing.

A police source explained to PRIMICIAS that the organization was dedicated to replicating MP15 rifles , which were identical to the originals. They made them with polymer. The difference is that these weapons, because they were handmade and with less technology, were sold for 30% of what an original rifle cost. That is, about USD 3,500 to USD 4,000 . While an original can cost around USD 15,000.”

FGC-9 MK2 seized (Sweden)

“A man in his 50s from SmÃ¥land is charged with extremely serious weapons offences.

He is suspected of producing, among other things, automatic weapons with the help of 3D printers, weapons that were to be sold on to Foxtrot.

– They give 40,000se (Around 4k USD) for an automatic weapon, the man is said to have said.

When asked why he gets involved in 3D printing of weapons, he answers:

– It’s funny. There are competitions too.”

3D Printed .22lr MAC submachine gun seized in The Netherlands

FGC-9 used in narco shoot-out

An FGC-9 mk2 variant used in a shoot out in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo yesterday.

” João Pedro Borges, 18 years old, died in a Military Police operation, around 11pm on Sunday (26), in the Santa Lúcia neighborhood, in Eunápolis. According to information from the PM, teams were moved to the area after reports of gunshots. During a chase, a group of criminals disembarked from a white car and ran towards a box on Rua Monte Serrat. According to the police, there was an intense exchange of gunfire at the scene. The other bandits managed to escape, but João Pedro ended up shot, and was pronounced dead a short time later at the Regional Hospital.”

I wonder just how many of these things are out there considering we’re seeing them pop up every other week and just how many more will be in circulation within the next couple of years?
