A recent bust of a workshop producing ‘AK47’ submachine guns which have shown up widely in the region. The bolts are obviously cut out using basic power tools (angle grinder, welder and a pillar drill was seized.). Component parts of 12 gauge revolving shotguns are also present, a weapon which has recently become popular with local self-defense groups and farmers who are increasing coming under attack by gangs of bandits.

What are those “AK-47” chambered in? The magazine doesn’t look like they’re in 9mm, also are they open bolt?

They are indeed chambered in 7.62 as that is likely much easier to find. I imagine the barrels are smoothbore and oversized to drastically lower the pressure.
