Crack Mac and Me phone home

Unsurprisingly: A man died after a confrontation with the Military Police on the afternoon of this Monday 24th in a locality known as Pitanguinha, in Simões Filho , in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador (Brazil). With him, a 9mm caliber submachine gun, 63 packages of marijuana, 26 cocaine pins and 16 vials containing crack were seized.”

Weapons of this particular configuration are hereby now officially designated and must be referred to as Crack MACs.

Homemade MAC-11 copies seized in Queensland, Australia

The two homemade machine pistols above were seized by Queensland Police on May 23rd. Looking closely they appear to have been made using the widely circulated Box Tube MAC-11 plans.

“Detectives from the Gold Coast CIB have charged a 42-year-old man with drug and weapons offences following a search at a residence at Currumbin Waters last Thursday May 23.

Around 3.20pm police executed a search warrant at a Tierney Drive house where it is alleged officers located a quantity of a quantity of dangerous drugs including LSD, methylamphetamines (ICE), hashish, cannabis and other drug paraphernalia.

It will also be alleged police located a revolver handgun, ammunition and two handmade automatic weapons during the search.

A 42-year-old man from Currumbin Waters was charged with three counts of possession of a dangerous drug, three counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and a count each of unlawful manufacturing weapons, unlawful possession of drug utensils, possession of things suspected of being used in a crime and unlawful possession of explosives (ammunition).” Queensland Police

A homemade copy of the MAC-11 seized on Monday by police in Sorocaba, Sao Paulo. On this example an original factory-made barrel has possibly been used.

A Koots MAC-11

A homemade copy of the MAC-11 seized in along with other guns, cocaine and around 100 thousand dollars in cash during a drug operation by NSW Police in April. This bootleg model is easily identified as being one of many made by Sydney based jeweler Angelos Koots who was convicted in 2013 after a sting operation. He later admitting to manufacturing and supplying up to 100 of the guns to outlaw motorcycle gangs for up to $15,000 each.
