Project Interknow – FGC-9 MK2s seized on Sunday

Apparently eleven FGC-9 MK2s along were seized from two People’s Defence Force (PDF) members in Myanmar’s southern Chan State on Monday who appeared to be transporting them on motorcycles. 400 rounds of 9mm and 3000 rounds of 5.56 were also seized.

    That hurts to see :*(

Those rebel fighters need more and better guns right now!

The illegal military junta in Myanmar must be removed from power!

Apparently 3D printed guns are bad and Myanmar citizens taking up arms against the junta using 3D printed guns is a bad thing.

It does not appear to reinforce the upper receiver in any meaningful way. I think it just gives the handle more solid front stop and rear notch. I can imagine the handle stopping in the front position during cocking does not do the (PLA-printed!) front handguard much good.

From my point of view, the designers didn’t figure out quite a few things and this is just one of them. But it is possible that their priorities were just different from mine.
