    The large pistol looking thing on the right appears to be a modified “Ramset” Nail-Gun that takes “Powder Charges”. The “Powder Charge” is usually a type of .22 caliber “Blank Cartridge”, but their are larger sizes (.27 caliber I think). http://www.ramset.com/products/tools/powderfasteningtools
